Kristen Johnson Partner |
Kristen Johnson was born and raised in Houston, TX, but has lived in Austin, TX since moving there to attend high school at St. Stephen's School. Ms. Johnson earned her undergraduate degree in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin's College of Communication. Prior to law school, Ms. Johnson worked in public affairs and government relations for a prominent Texas trade organization. She received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in May of 2011. While in law school, Ms. Johnson was an Articles and Notes Editor for the Texas International Law Journal and participated in the Legislative Lawyering legal clinic. She served as the director of philanthropy for the legal honor society Phi Delta Phi, and traveled to Biloxi, MS with the Student Hurricane Network to assist in a philanthropic effort of the Mississippi Center for Justice. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Johnson spent a year in Eastland, TX where she served as Briefing Attorney for the Eleventh Court of Appeals of Texas. Ms. Johnson was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November 2011. She is a member of the Travis County Women Lawyers' Association, the Austin Bar Association's Civil Appellate Section, and the Austin Young Lawyers Association. In 2017 she completed training and was sworn in as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Travis County.
